Clinical Pharmacist
Isabel Castane Alvarez
I graduated from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain, in 2002, and after completing my hospital training, I moved to the UK in 2003. Despite my initial experience in hospital pharmacy, I transitioned into community pharmacy, where I spent 19 years focusing on patient-centered care. During this time, I specialized in hypertension and lipid disorder management and earned my Clinical Pharmacy Practice and Independent Prescriber qualifications in these areas.

As I continue to grow professionally, I am expanding my expertise in hormone replacement therapy (HRT), pain management, and deprescribing, with a strong emphasis on patient-focused approaches.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing calisthenics, and capturing moments through photography. My family and friends, especially those back in Spain, remain an important part of my life. Music and books are my constant companions, enriching both my personal and professional journey.
